Color Inspiration
I have a favorite color palette. It has been my favorite for so many years and I just keep sticking with it for my family room and dining room areas. It makes me think about family, good times and why I love it when the seasons change! It just so happens that my favorite colors are the colors of Autumn! I guess that's not a big surprise since that's the theme I chose for my blog design, too!
In fact, I daresay that I think Fall has almost replaced Christmas as being my favorite holiday to decorate for! (I said - almost!) I am planning on getting out all my decorations next week! When are you putting out your Fall decorations? I put mine out early, but I also decorate for Christmas starting the day after Thanksgiving!
I found a really neat toy when I was looking at colors for this post. It's called a Color Palette Generator! You upload your photo and it finds all the colors for you and creates a palette! You can give it a try here.
More colors of Autumn that inspire...
What is your favorite color palette?

I love the blue & greens for my pallet. They are very calming but I once had my living room fall colors too.
Hi Pam,
ReplyDeleteI love the rich fall colors. I love a long Indian summer, and the beautiful trees that time of year.

I'm stuck on blues, greens and browns at the moment. Something soo soothing about them. Love the photo of the puppy in the leaves! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by today Pam! My favorite colors are warm and earthy colors such as browns, greens, yellows and rusty reds. Very much fall colors, in fact, Fall is my favorite time of year!
ReplyDeleteHi Pam, I love this post. Fall is my favorite time of the year....we don't have much Fall in Florida but we do in our home. I decorate almost every room and especially the kitchen and family room.
ReplyDeleteFall colors absolutely speak to my heart....I just adore them.
Wonderful post!

Pam, me again. Thanks for displaying the Rooster Button. If you have any roosters...just one is enough...I would love for you to join us!

I just pulled out some old Country Living, BHG, and a few other home decor magazines that I've kept for years just because of the inspiring photos in them. I love gourds. I also love to decorate with black and white with punches of reds and orange. For instance, a black wooden candle holder w/ white mini pumpkins instead of a candle, a bouquet of garden mums or colorful gourds to complete an arrangement. I too am a huge Fall lover! The smell of cinnamon is a fall favorite too.
